About Palmer Family Chiropractic in Milford

We've been delivering quality chiropractic care since 1998.

Our approach is simple. We believe that health is among our most valuable possessions. And while we generally meet people after they’ve lost their health, our commitment is two-fold:

1. Relief Care
Milford chiropractic patients enjoy the fact that Dr. Tamara Palmer offers choices.

When many people seek care in our office they have one goal: relief. So that’s where we start! During this initial stage of intensive care, we have several obligations:

  • Uncover the underlying cause of the health problem
  • Identify whether or not Chiropractic is suitable for your case
  • Suggest a care plan to produce the fastest results possible
  • Refer to and integrate other types of healthcare when indicated
  • Offer ways patients can participate in their recovery
  • Explain value of post-symptomatic wellness care
2. Wellness Care

We encourage our patients to achieve the highest levels of health they can. Through educational opportunities (like this website and Spinal Health classes), we hope to communicate the value of ongoing chiropractic care. Our desire is to see our practice members abandon the prevailing sickness care model of health (waiting for symptoms and then taking action), in favor of the emerging wellness model.

You’re the Boss

Regardless of your health goals, please understand that we see ourselves as mere servants. You’re the boss! It’s your body, your health and your future. Our job is to offer you the finest chiropractic care possible, and it’s up to you to decide how much of it you want. We will also give you several life style change suggestions that might include: posture, nutrition, stretching and strengthening exercises, lifting guidelines, sleep tips, foot supports and water intake.  The more of things you embrace and follow through with the healthier you will be.

Dr. Palmer Asks some important questions of interest to Milford residents - Chiropractor Milford Dr. Palmer Asks...

Can those with osteoporosis get chiropractic care?
Of course. When developing a care plan, we consider the unique circumstances of each patient. There are many ways we can adjust the spine. The chiropractic method we select will be best suited to your age, size and unique situation.
Do nerves actually get pinched?
Chiropractors recognize two types of nerve disorders involved in subluxation. The least common is a pinched nerve that diminishes nerve supply to an affected organ or tissue. More common is the irritated nerve (facilitative lesion) which overexcites nerve communications to an affected organ or tissue. Chiropractic care has been shown to help with both types.
