Hypnosis
When I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in communications from UMass Amherst, I had no idea l would end up with my own hypnosis practice. Yet life has a way of taking us all on some twists and turns, and here I am.
As a working mom of school-aged children, and acting as primary caregiver for my live-in elderly parent, I found that my stress level was at it’s peak. As a coping mechanism, I would share stories or feelings with my friends, other moms, co-workers, my hairdresser, pretty much whomever would listen to me. The more I shared, the more others would share with me how stressful their lives were. I knew stress existed, but never knew the degree with which so many are coping until they opened up. Indeed, stress affects us all.
For me, stress materialized in several ways. I was constantly worrying about everything – overthinking and experiencing racing thoughts, forgetfulness and disorganization. In addition, I was steadily gaining weight (ultimately close to 45 lbs in 2 years) because I was eating for comfort and/or reward. I felt like my mind needed a “reboot.” Finally, a friend suggested I try hypnosis. Reluctantly, I did. Reluctantly, I became it’s biggest fan. I became such a fan of the practice, I decided to start one of my own.
Did hypnosis help me? Absolutely! Can it help you? Absolutely!
So much of success comes from mindset. I know what it is like to be flailing. It’s a very dark, frustrating place. Life sometimes throws you there, but it is not a place to live. Let me help you. Let me help you be the best version of yourself. Let me help you quiet those voices in your head that tell you you’re not good enough, or you’re not worth it, or that you will probably fail. Not only can I help you quiet those negative thoughts, I can turn them around. Imagine your inner voice is your best friend. It’s telling you how strong you are, how unstoppable you are, how loved you are, how you will succeed in whatever it is you’d like to be successful at. Wouldn’t that be amazing?
Hypnosis is absolutely safe! It does not act as truth serum. You will not divulge anything while under hypnosis that you wouldn’t say otherwise. You are not “out of it.” In fact, you could get up out of the chair anytime you wish. You’ll just be so relaxed you won’t want to. You will leave a session feeling energized yet rested, focused yet calm, motivated yet tranquil.
